Read: The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger

Product: Urban Decay Go Naked Rollerball

I'm a little bit late on this post, which only seems appropriate given that the topic of the read for this week is about time. It seems I've been running out of time to do things lately, from writing to giving my old cat all his medications to being able to sleep for regular hours. Other days there's too much time and I want them to go more quickly. However, in reading The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger something special happened with my own time: I let go, and enjoyed the process of being swept up in a story.

As per Goodreads (hit this jump to add this story to your TBR pile!) :

The Time Traveler’s Wife depicts the effects of time travel on Henry and Clare’s marriage and their passionate love for each other as the story unfolds from both points of view. Clare and Henry attempt to live normal lives, pursuing familiar goals—steady jobs, good friends, children of their own. All of this is threatened by something they can neither prevent nor control, making their story intensely moving and entirely unforgettable.

The Time Traveler's Wife is a beautiful and engaging story that I've loved for years, and I was pleased when it was voted in this week on my Instagram profile as the next read of the week. I've always wanted to have the opportunity to open this story up again and allow myself to look at it from a new perspective - of someone who is married and is attempting to pursue those familiar goals while leading a normal life. I think the writing sends a message, is stunning and sets a great scene, and also allows for an intriguing read.

Paired this week with Urban Decay's Go Naked Rollerball, I thought these two would be a great fit because, if you've personally read TTTW, you'll appreciate the amusing nature of the name of the product. The scent is light and fresh and fit for every day, but there's something special about the undertones that make it feel a little like you're at the beach or sitting under a lemon tree.

I picked up the limited edition summertime rollerball at Sephora for approximately $20 CAD, and the book is available from most major retailers. However, please note that at this time, the rollerball does not appear to be available any longer through major retailers, but can be located on third-party websites such as eBay or Amazon.

Hope you're all having a beautiful weekend wherever you are!

All my love,
